This is the direct installment to Tarragon which is the fourth installment to the series. It is about the first and greatest of the technomage kings of Oryon and how he came to have a symbiont, and planned for the survival of his family. His actions set the stage for everything in the first three books, Royal Consort, Royal Guardian, and Royal Symbionts.
